Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 26, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Craftsmen Association of America website (“Site") or applying for membership, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit an application.
2. What CAA Is — and Is Not
CAA is a professional membership association for independent tradespeople operating in the United States. Membership is a voluntary professional affiliation that signals a commitment to our published code of conduct. CAA is not a government licensing body, insurance provider, surety bond, or warranty program. We do not inspect, supervise, or guarantee the quality of any member's work.
3. Membership Eligibility and Application
Membership is open to independent trade businesses operating in the United States. Submitting an application and paying dues does not guarantee acceptance. CAA reserves the right to review each application, verify information, and deny or revoke membership if an applicant or member does not meet our standards or comply with our Code of Conduct.
Annual membership dues are $480 USD, billed annually, unless otherwise stated. Dues are paid at the time of application and are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or CAA explicitly agrees in writing.
4. Code of Conduct
Members agree to abide by the CAA Code of Conduct, which includes providing written scopes and estimates before work begins, documenting change orders, responding to customer inquiries promptly, acknowledging complaints within a reasonable time, and standing behind completed work. Failure to uphold these standards may result in suspension or revocation of membership and removal from the public directory.
5. Directory and Listings
The CAA directory contains active member listings and non-member reference listings compiled from public sources. Only active members have agreed to the CAA Code of Conduct. CAA does not verify every detail of non-member listings and does not warrant the accuracy of ratings, review counts, licenses, insurance, or workmanship for any listing. Homeowners should conduct their own due diligence before hiring any business.
6. Text Messaging and Phone Communications
By providing your mobile phone number to CAA, you consent to receive text messages and phone calls from us at the number provided. You may receive messages such as appointment reminders, order alerts, account notifications, membership updates, application status notices, renewal alerts, directory inquiries, homeowner feedback follow-up, and other operational messages related to your membership or use of the Site.
Messaging frequency may vary.
You may receive multiple messages per month during active application, onboarding, or support periods, and fewer messages otherwise.
Message and data rates may apply.
Standard carrier rates apply; CAA does not charge for text messages.
To opt out at any time, text STOP.
Reply STOP to cancel at any time. You can also contact us at info@craftsmenassociation.org. Even after opting out, you may still receive transactional messages necessary to manage your membership or account.

We are not responsible for delayed, lost, or misdirected messages caused by your carrier or other factors outside our control.
7. Quote Requests and Homeowner Feedback
Quote requests submitted through the Site are forwarded to the relevant member or to CAA for routing. CAA is not a party to any contract or work performed. Homeowner feedback submissions are used to help monitor member conduct and improve the association. Submitting false, abusive, or defamatory feedback is prohibited.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and the CAA member badge, is owned by or licensed to CAA and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Members in good standing may use the CAA badge solely in accordance with our brand guidelines and only while their membership remains active.
9. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the directory without permission.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with CAA.
- Submit false information in an application, quote request, or feedback form.
- Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Site.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CAA and its directors, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, membership status, or any services provided by listed businesses. This includes, without limitation, disputes between homeowners and tradespeople, construction defects, delays, or injuries.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and all content, directory listings, and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. CAA does not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
12. Termination
CAA may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or your membership at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, harms the association, or is otherwise inappropriate.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in Duval County, Florida.
14. Changes to These Terms
CAA may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
